About Our Club
Adventurers is a Christian activity-based program with experiences especially designed for 6 — 9 year olds.
Pathfinders is a Christian activity-based program, where your child will learn new skills. It is especially designed for 10 – 16 year olds.
Pathfinders is an international organisation that is sponsored by local Seventh-day Adventist churches, and operated by trained volunteers. The program provides the opportunity for Pathfinders to develop their self-worth in a fun, safe and caring environment. They also develop an appreciation for Christian spirituality and its role in their lives. It aids in the development of leadership and positive group skills, teamwork and fun problem-solving experiences.
Club meetings are held 1- 2 times per month during school terms, usually on a Saturday afternoon at Maclean Seventh Day Adventist Church. A local club camp is planned once per term.
Each year there are also 2 events where clubs from northern NSW or further afield get together
Expedition: this is a 3 night hiking event organised by the conference and held on the long weekend in June
PLUS
Fair and rally: a camping weekend organised by the conference that includes a youth focused church service, games, activities and camping skills competitions
OR
Camporee: a multi-day gathering of pathfinder clubs from either the local conference, or the Australian Union Conference
The club has an annual awards ceremony at the end of each year known as Investiture. This occurs as part of a church service to recognise each child’s achievements during the year and gives the wider church family a chance to show that they invest in the children's growth and wellbeing.
The Australian Pathfinder website has information for new members.
We also have a local CAPS club Facebook page.

We Take Child Safety Very Seriously
All staff are required to have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC). They have also completed the Adventist church’s Adsafe training program and Child safe code of conduct.
✓ Adsafe is committed to being a ‘trauma-informed’ service which facilitates healing and justice pathways for both child and adult victims of sexual and physical abuse.
✓ WWCC number is the NSW Government child safety checking system
We encourage parents and care givers who are not leaders to move towards completing the same checks and training.
All of our volunteers sign a Code of Conduct
Adsafe Training Opportunity
The club will be offering an opportunity to join a training session on the 1st Feb 2025. Alternatively training can be completed at a time of your choosing via the Online Portal
